Society Elections
What are the Society Elections?
The society elections are your chance to have your say! Every year, members have the chance to elect their Board of Directors and Member Engagement Committee representatives. You can even stand for election yourself, if you’d like to.
Board & MEC Elections 2024
The Society's annual election process is well underway with voting now open for members who joined the Society on or before 2 April 2024.
In this year's elections, there are 5 vacancies on the Board and 2 on the MEC. To ensure that our Young Co-operators' voices are heard, 1 of the MEC spaces is reserved for a member under 30. To find out more about the Young Co-operator Network see here.
Voting will close on 2 October at 5pm.
You will see posters displayed in stores and branches and there is information on our dedicated election website.
You will need your unique codes in order to vote which you can find printed on your ballot paper or if you ballot paper has been emailed to you, you'll be able to vote by clicking on the link in the email. Your unique codes will be auto-filled.
If you haven’t received any voting information and you would like to vote, please contact CES customer service at takepart@cesvotes.com who will be able to confirm if you are eligible to vote in this year’s election.
Why do we hold elections?
The co-operative ideal is based on members having the chance to vote so that everyone will feel heard, valued and appreciated. The Society elections are a way of putting this into action; as a co-operative, we are committed to giving our members the power to make decisions – big and small.
