Good communication is key to our business. That’s why we have lots of committees which answer to the Board to keep our Society working as effectively as possible.

As a co-operative, we believe great things happen when people come together – which is why your committee members are here to represent everyone.

The Audit & Risk Committee is responsible for monitoring our financial statements, reviewing our internal control and risk management systems, and assessing our audit and risk functions.

There are six directors who sit on the Audit & Risk Committee:

The Remuneration Committee oversees the remuneration policies and practices for the whole Society. This includes the reward policy and terms and conditions of employment of the Executive. If you’d like to know more, the Society's annual remuneration report can be found here.

There are five directors who sit on the Remuneration Committee:

The Member Engagement Committee (MEC) is made up of 10 elected members, two board representatives, and two young member representatives, all of which work closely with our local groups to ensure everyone in our Society feels represented. They review our member engagement strategy, as set by the board, and develop new ways of promoting membership and its benefits.

The members are:

The Telecoms Committee was set up by the Board in 2018 to manage the strategic policy direction of The Phone Co-op – our telecoms business.

There are two directors who sit on the Telecoms Committee and two Phone Co-op representatives:
