Our Committees 
Audit & Risk Committee
The Audit & Risk Committee is responsible for monitoring our financial statements, reviewing our internal control and risk management systems, and assessing our audit and risk functions.
There are six directors who sit on the Audit & Risk Committee:

Member Engagement Committee (MEC)
The Member Engagement Committee (MEC) is currently made up of 9 elected members, 3 young member representatives and 2 board representatives, all of which work closely with our local groups to ensure everyone in our Society feels represented. They review our member engagement strategy, as set by the board, and develop new ways of promoting membership and its benefits.

Remuneration Committee
The Remuneration Committee oversees the remuneration policies and practices for the whole Society. This includes the reward policy and terms and conditions of employment of the Executive. If you’d like to know more, the Society's annual remuneration report can be found here.

Treasury Committee
The Treasury Committee was set up in the summer of 2025. It is responsible for providing oversight, challenge, and assurance in relation to the Society’s treasury activities. It ensures the Society maintains prudent and effective financial risk management, particularly in relation to liquidity, funding, investment, and interest rate risk, consistent with co-operative values and long-term sustainability.
