OurCoop To Open New Store in Leckhampton With Golden Ticket Prizes for the First 50 Shoppers

OurCoop is opening a new local Food store on Thursday 19th March on Pilley Lane in Leckhampton, Cheltenham.
A relocation from the current store on Leckhampton Road, the new 3,000 square foot site will employ 19 people from the local area and offer the community a more modern shopping experience and access to a range of services including 15 parking spaces and two EV charging stations.
To mark the grand opening on 19th March, the first 50 customers through the doors at 9am will receive a Golden Ticket, with every ticket guaranteeing a prize. Lucky customers could win gifts from a luxury hamper to £100 to spend in-store.
The store will be opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony conducted by local councillor, Chan Mistry, who has lived in the area for over 30 years and is part of the Parish Council.
There will be opportunities for customers to sample some of OurCoop’s new and best-selling products from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st March, including a selection of byRuby ready meals which are a new offering for the store. All members will receive a 10% discount every time they shop, valid until Sunday 29th March.
From Friday 20th March onwards, the convenience store will be open from 7am to 10pm each day and will offer essential grocery items, from fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and flowers to wines, spirits and chilled beer. This includes a selection of goods produced by local suppliers, including Cotswold Fudge, baked goods from Hobbs House, and products from Tims Dairy.
The store will also have an in-store bakery and Costa Express machine, as well as offering hot and cold on-the-go options and a ready meal selection from byRuby.
The Leckhampton store joins OurCoop’s growing portfolio after the creation of the new member-owned co-operative which brings together Central Co-op, Midcounties, and Chelmsford Star. The OurCoop family of businesses includes more than 500 food stores and over one million members across the country.

The former Leckhampton Road store will close permanently from 10pm on Wednesday 18th March.
