Your Co-op Rewards - How It Works

Your Co-op Rewards is a new way of rewarding members of The Midcounties Co-operative. In a few months’ time we expect to roll it out more widely. You will be the first to know when it comes to you.
If you are one of the lucky members who has already heard that you are part of the launch then this guide will give you more information about what to expect. We hope you enjoy it.
Your Co-op Rewards at a glance

Getting access
You can only benefit from Your Co-op Rewards if you are an online member. That means that you need to provide an email address and set a password for your account. To check whether you have done that already click here.
If you are an online member you can download the Your Co-op Rewards app and see all the rewards especially selected for you. If you prefer you can use the Your Co-op Rewards website instead.
If you are not yet a member at all you can join us here and, if you provide an email address and set a password, you will be ready to use Your Co-op Rewards.

Collecting stamps
For every £10 you spend with us on food, energy, broadband and phone with The Midcounties Co-operative, you will collect a digital stamp on your account.
You will collect stamps on your spend from 3rd August, 2020. We keep a running total so, if you don’t quite spend £10, it will still count towards your next stamp.
From 31st August 2021, you have stopped collecting stamps. Your total stamp balance is your stamps earned from transactions from 3rd August 2020 to 31st August 2021.
Earning rewards
You can save your stamps to get access to exclusive rewards like great deals on holidays. If you look on the ‘Rewards’ section of the app or website you will see what is available to you at the moment.

Special offers just for you
You’ll also get special offers that we think you’ll enjoy. Check the app or website regularly to see what is available to you.

Your membership in one place
The Your Co-op Rewards app and website also include everything you are used to seeing on your current membership app. There is a virtual card that you can scan at the till to save you carrying a plastic one.
You can keep track of your share of profits and get access to news and information about The Midcounties Co-operative and hear how we are serving your local community.

Questions you might have
I don’t have an email address. Can I still use Your Co-op Rewards?
This is an online benefit so you have to be an online member to use it. That means you need to add an email address and password to your membership. If you don’t have an email address then you cannot take part. However, we hope that you will still enjoy the other benefits of membership.
How do I earn my rewards?
You will be able to see what rewards are available using our Your Co-op Rewards app or website and find more information about them. There is a range of rewards available – some can be accessed for only a handful of stamps, others need you to save more. When you have enough stamps for a reward you can click through and decide whether you want to redeem it. We won’t deduct your stamps until you make your final decision. We update our rewards regularly so keep an eye on the Your Co-op Rewards app.
How do I get my offers?
If you look in the detail of each offer it will tell you what you need to do. For most of our food offers you just need to go into store, swipe your membership card when you pay and the till will automatically give you the offer. For offers in our other businesses you will be directed to a website and can follow the instructions when you get there.
How will I find out about my rewards and offers?
Your rewards and offers will be updated regularly on your app and website so just check it regularly to see what’s new. We will send you reminders too. You can tell us about the things that particularly interest you by going into ‘settings’ on your app or website https://www.yourcooprewards.coop/ Just choose ‘manage your interests’ and highlight what interests you. And if you would rather not hear from us at all then just opt out of email and/or SMS when you are in settings. We will always respect your marketing preferences. And if you change your mind later you can go to the same link and update your preferences.
Does this affect my share of profits?
Collecting stamps doesn’t affect your share of profits. You will still earn membership points in the same way. Your Co-op Rewards is an addition to the membership benefits you already enjoy.
Can I use my stamps for anything else?
Stamps can only be redeemed against the rewards we make available. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
What’s the difference between stamps and membership points?
We are owned by our members. Whenever you spend with us you earn membership points. Each year when we publish our accounts we give you a share of our profits based on how many membership points you have earned.
You also collect stamps when you spend with us – on food, energy, phone and broadband. You can use your stamps to treat yourself to rewards that are more instant and relevant to you. Stamps have been collected on transactions between 3rd August 2020 and 31st August 2021.
Stamps can only be collected and redeemed if you are an online member but share of profit points can be accessed offline also.
How quickly are my stamps updated?
You have stopped collecting stamps from transactions up to 31st August. We send updates through for energy, mobile and broadband once a month, so you may have to wait a little while for those to show on your app.
Do I still get my membership discounts?
Yes, all your membership discounts still apply. Your Co-op Rewards is an additional benefit and doesn’t replace anything you are already using.
Can I still use my membership app?
Yes, the membership app will still work and you can continue to use it if you want to. However, you can find everything on the Your Co-op Rewards app so you won’t need it.
Can I still use my plastic membership card? It looks different from the virtual card
We have updated our brand to give it a fresh, new look. The virtual card has been redesigned to reflect that. However, we don’t send out new plastic cards every time the design changes. Your current plastic card will still work.
