FoodCoop Summer Competition – Terms & Conditions

The FoodCoop Summer Competition is organised by FoodCoop, part of the OurCoop family of businesses ("the Promoter").

Competition Period
The competition opens on 10 June and closes at 11:59pm on 21 July. Entries received after the closing date will not be included in the draw.

Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over. Participants must have a valid Instagram account to enter.

Employees, workers and contractors of FoodCoop, any business within the OurCoop family, and their immediate family members or members of the same household are not eligible to enter the competition.

How to Enter
To enter, participants must:

  • Upload a photo or video of their BBQ, picnic or summer food spread to Instagram during the competition period.
  • Ensure the photo or video clearly features at least two Co-op products.
  • Include the hashtag #FoodCoopSummer in their post.
  • Follow both @yourfood.coop and @centralcoopuk on Instagram.
  • Ensure their Instagram account remains public for the duration of the competition and until the winner has been selected, as entries from private accounts may not be visible and therefore cannot be considered.

Only entries that meet all of the above requirements will be eligible.

Prize
One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.

The winner will receive a food hamper valued at approximately £100. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, vouchers, credit or any alternative prize. No cash or prize alternatives are available.

Winner Selection and Notification
The winner will be drawn within seven days of the competition closing date and contacted via Instagram direct message from either @yourfood.coop or @centralcoopuk only. Participants should be aware that the Promoter will never request payment, bank details or other sensitive personal information in order to claim the prize.

If the winner does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Use of Content
By entering the competition, participants confirm that any photo or video submitted is their own original work and that they have obtained permission from any individuals appearing in the content.

By submitting an entry, participants grant FoodCoop and other businesses within the OurCoop family permission to share, repost and use the submitted content for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes across their websites, social media channels and other marketing materials without further compensation.

General
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

Terms & Conditions

In-store sampling is available in selected stores only and may change or be withdrawn at any time. Sampling products are all subject to availability.

We take care to provide clear allergen information for all products, but samples are prepared in a store environment and cannot be guaranteed allergen-free; customers with allergies or intolerances should always check the allergen card or speak to a colleague before sampling.

Sampling colleagues may refuse service where appropriate, including if a customer appears underage, intoxicated, or behaves in an unsafe or inappropriate manner. Customers are asked to consume samples responsibly and follow colleague instructions when in the sampling area.
