Rebuilding Local Communities with Aspire - Your Co-op Conversations
16 Sep 2021 6:00pm - 7:00pm
This is your chance to hear from one of our inspirational Charity Partners: Aspire Oxfordshire.
We have worked with this award-winning employment and housing charity for five years, supporting its mission to empower marginalised people facing homelessness, poverty and disadvantage by helping them find secure, fulfilling employment and safe housing.
By providing work experience placements and advertising vacancies through Aspire’s Hire2Inspire recruitment social enterprise, we have supported the charity in helping more than 2,000 people each year across Oxfordshire.
Take part in this exclusive member event to hear about:
- Our joint initiative to launch a self-employment enterprise hub in Cowley providing workshops, one-to-ones and peer group sessions.
- The experiences of those who’ve been supported by the organisation.
- How you can support the charity’s ‘No Going Back’ appeal, which aims to avoid Oxfordshire returning to its pre-Covid levels of homelessness and inequality.
Paul Roberts, Chief Executive Officer
CEO Paul joined Aspire in 2012 and has been at the forefront of the charity’s significant organisational growth. He’s also involved with a number of local homelessness and community organisations.
Rosa Curness, Pathways to Employment Co-ordinator
Rosa works with businesses across the Thames Valley to help them create more inclusive recruitment practices, to enable individuals in disadvantaged circumstances to have the same opportunities as everyone else.
John Linnard, Employer Liaison
John joined the team in 2019 and is responsible for Employer Liaison at Aspire. He worked as an English Language tutor before moving into the world of industry and has run his own business for the past 15 years.
