Protecting Our Communities with Community Heartbeat Trust - Your Co-op Conversations
22 Sep 2021 6:00pm - 7:00pm
In this virtual member session we will be discussing the importance of installing defibrillators in our communities, our partnership with The Community Heartbeat Trust and how you can help make a difference.
Since 2013 we’ve been working in partnership with Community Heartbeat Trust, the UK’s leading provider of community Defibrillator Solutions, and have now had 33 defibrillator units installed thanks to the support of our members, colleagues, and local communities.
We’ll be joined by Martin Fagan from Community Heartbeat Trust, ahead of the event Martin said:
“The establishment of a community defibrillator needs to be undertaken correctly, with Governance, Sustainability and Resilience at the core of the project. The Community Heartbeat Trust charity are the leaders in community defibrillation and have worked with Midcounties to ensure any community undertaking such a project is done to best practice.
During the talk I will highlight the reasons why projects to install community defibrillators are common; the medical reasons for this; the issues faced, and why some projects fail; and why the relationship with Midcounties has been so successful.”
Martin is the National Secretary of the Community Heartbeat Trust charity, the UK's leading provider of Community Defibrillator Solutions. Martin was a founder member of the Trust and has been working with Midcounties since 2012.
