20 Jul 2022 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Are you interested in working with pre-school children? Would you love to spark their imagination, give them a great grounding in life and open them up to the possibilities the world has to offer?
If so, join our upcoming virtual member event to find out more about a career in Early Years education.
Led by our Head of HR in Childcare, Beverley Capewell, this session will:
Explore the exciting opportunities a career in Early Years has to offer, from personal development to career progression.
Lift the lid on what a day in the life of an Early Years Practitioner really looks like.
Share the career journeys of some of our amazing colleagues.
Explain why we are working hard to encourage more men to apply for childcare roles and the difference having men in our settings makes to young children’s development.
Give you the chance to ask any questions you may have.
I’ve been working within the Early Years and Further Education sectors since 1991.
I have held varying roles across the Education sector, commencing my career in Nursery and Primary schools, leading into teaching in the post-compulsory sector in 2002. I then worked my way up in to finally becoming Faulty Head of Early Years, Health and Social Care and Counselling within a large Further Education college located across Oxfordshire.
I joined #yourcoop Midcounties Cooperative in 2014 and started my Coop journey as a Childcare Area Manager.
I was then successful in being promoted to People Development Manager still within the Childcare Group, which comprised of all aspects of formal training, Apprenticeships, strategic Further and Higher Education partnerships, Talent Management and Recruitment.
I am now the Head of HR for Childcare and work in a HR business partnering capacity to Sally, our Chief Operating Officer, and the SMT, to support the group strategic people plans.
