20 Aug 2019 1:15pm - 4:30pm
At this event you will have the opportunity to learn about a range of activities and initiatives to tackle single-use plastics including the following;
Vitamin Sea film screening:
Watch this exclusive screening with our Midcounties Environmental Ambassador, Cal Major, followed by Q and A.
Vitamin Sea documents Cal’s world record stand up paddleboarding expedition from Land’s End to John O’Groats, the whole length of the UK, in 2018.
The film focuses on community action around plastic pollution, the need to reconnect to nature in order to drive a desire to protect it, and the importance of time in nature for mental health.
Walsall Against Single-Use Plastic Campaign:
Hear from Professor Gatrad, OBE, Deputy Lieutenant, about the journey so far and the vision ahead for the Walsall Against Single-Use Plastic Campaign.
There will be opportunities to ask questions about the campaign and get involved, including making ‘1 Change’ to support community tidy up activities.
Refreshments will be provided, and you will have plenty of opportunities to discuss, network and get involved locally to help tackle single-use plastics
