The Wave
Thanks to all members who have supported the Wave campaign. We know we took over 150 members to London to campaign the government to ensure a fair and ambitious carbon reduction agreement was made in Copenhagen at the Climate Change conference.
More than 50,000 people came together to demand action on climate change. Making The Wave, the biggest ever UK climate change march. Those marching called for the Government to take much more urgent and effective action.
Not only did Ed Miliband (Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change) hear us, but Gordon Brown invited 24 Wave supporters to 10 Downing Street after the event to hear their demands.
This was part of many opportunities to get involved to campaign to defend the environment, and please look out for more opportunities to campaign with Midcounties over the next few months.
