Board of Directors
The Society is governed by a Board of 16 directors elected by and from the Society's members - a fundamental principle of any co-operative enterprise. 10 directors are elected by and from members of the OSG Region and 6 directors are elected by and from members of the WM Region. Terms of office are for 3 years.

Presently, there is a casual vacancy on the Board following the resignation of Jim Postles in January 2010. This vacancy will be filled at the next directors election to be held in the autumn of 2010.
The Board has certain key responsibilities. Two stand out in particular: first, and as you would expect, the Board sets the Society's objectives and strategy; second, the Board seeks to ensure that the Society operates and adheres to co-operative values and principles.
