It's time to tell the world we're good for everyone
Since 1844, The Co-operative has been working to make the world fairer for our customers, members and suppliers - a stance we've always been keen to promote. But as the new millennium dawned, we found each of our businesses had a different image, meaning customers weren't always aware that we were a family of businesses. So before we could tell the world about what it means to be The Co-operative, we needed to create a unifying, consistent brand that would bring all the different businesses together as one.
The fresh, new The Co-operative brand has been brought to over 2,770 sites across the UK, making it possibly the biggest rebrand to ever hit the high street. The Midcounties Co-operative alone has now branded more than 274 sites, bringing unity to all our businesses and linking in with the national brand. In the past few months we've had a massive push to rebrand as many of our sites as possible, with 121 branches refitted in just two months. Four of our major trading groups now have over 70% of sites rebranded and 95% of our pharmacy branches now fall in line with the brand.
We hope that bringing a united look and feel to all our businesses will mean that people will start to recognise The Co-operative for our pharmacies, travel shops and funeral homes, as well as our established food stores. Now within the new campaign, we'll be telling everyone how all our family of businesses work together to serve them and their communities. With this new brand firmly in place, we're now ready to shout about why The Co-operative is good for everyone.
