Earning Membership Points

There are so many great reasons to become a member of Midcounties, and receiving your share of the profits is just one. As you spend money and interact with our businesses you will earn membership points and then twice a year you will receive vouchers relating to how much you spend and how much you get involved with your Co-operative.

Simply present your membership card at a Midcounties Co-operative site and you will earn points on your purchases. Your card can also be used wherever you see the Co-operative Membership logo around the country. There is a minimum spend of £1 per transaction before points can be earned. You can also earn points for involvement as a member, eg. attending the AGM or other events, voting or taking part in a members' survey.

The following points can be earned per pound spent in branches owned by The Midcounties Co-operative:

The Co-operative Food
1 point for every £1

The Co-operative Funeralcare
1 point for every £1

The Co-operative Travel
1 point for every £2

Imagine Co-operative Childcare
2 points for every £1

The Co-operative Pharmacy
1 point for every £1 spent on non-prescription goods

The Co-operative Energy
1 point for every £1 spent on electricity/gas

Member Involvement
Graduated according to type of involvement

Please note this is an example valid at time of press and is subject to change. There are a number of exceptions to the above and these can be found in the terms and conditions for the scheme.

These points are converted to vouchers twice a year, usually in June and November. The vouchers can be spent in any of the Society's trading groups, or paid into your member's share account. There is also an option to donate your dividend to charity. You will receive full information on all of this when you join.
