In-store Information or Display Stand Application

Terms & Conditions

Thank you very much for choosing The Midcounties Co-operative to help support your organisation by means of us providing a slot at one of our retail branches to help raise awareness of your group and its services.

We have endeavoured to keep the process simple. However, there are some conditions to be met for your request to be to be eligible and dates confirmed, so before completing the detail overleaf we would ask you to take a few moment to read the terms and conditions below.

  1. Applications are accepted and dealt with on a first come first served basis.
  2. All requesting charities must have a valid UK registered charity number (checks may be made to confirm this information).
  3. We are unable to support charities or groups where collectors are paid. Please be aware that checks may be made to obtain this information.
  4. Slots are allocated for a period of either 2 or 3 consecutive days over the course of a Monday to Thursday. Please be aware that only our larger stores are able to accommodate information stands.
  5. Dates requested are subject to availability, therefore you may be offered alternative dates.
  6. We are only able to accept one date request per application per group.
  7. We are unable to accept applications for slots which are requested more than 3 months in advance.
  8. The group or charity must be located within a 2 mile radius of the requested store in urban areas or 4 miles radius in rural areas.
  9. Under no circumstances will you be permitted to approach our customers to recruit or sell membership.
  10. Only two volunteers can be accommodated in the store foyer at any time. The manager will show a designated area to you.
  11. Posters and other material may only be displayed, if approved by the store manager, and do not obstruct any entrances, exits or fire doors. It is the responsibility of the group to provide all display stands, and ensure their removal at the end of each day.
  12. Volunteers are advised to observe a smart/casual dress code.
  13. Customers must be allowed to freely enter and leave the store, without obstruction.
  14. A confirmation letter must be presented to the store manager prior to the collection. Without this authorisation, the collection will be declined.
  15. The Society reserves the right to withdraw or amend pre-booked collection dates.

(please note that we only have 2 specific weekends to allocate per month. If your date/s are not one of these, we will offer a date closest to your request)
