Loyal customer becomes a VIP for the day
14 December 2011
Community retailer The Midcounties Co-operative rewarded loyal customer John Neville the honour of opening its new look store at Rose Hill.
The supermarket was officially re-opened by John and his wife Jean who lives opposite the store and have shopped at the neighbourhood store for more than 30 years.
The 2,775 sq ft store has been given a new layout and car park making it easy for customers to shop. Fresh food ranges have nearly doubled in size with increased choice in dairy, cheese, fresh meat, fruit and vegetables. A new hot food service has also been introduced and customers can now purchase savoury pasties and sausage rolls.
Stuart Jarvey store manager said: “We’re so pleased Mr and Mrs Neville opened our new look store in Rose Hill. It is very much a community store which serves local residents and we are always striving to improve the service we offer to the community.
“As a retail co-operative we differ from other retailers because we are owned by our members and we ensure that everything we do benefits our members and the wider community.”
